Mussoorie, the queen of the hills
One of the
five most popular hill stations in India are Mussorie. Mussoorie is a beautiful
hill town in the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of about 6,500 feet. To the
common people, Mussoorie is known as the queen of the hills. Although the
Bengalis pronounce Mussoorie, the name of the place in the local pronunciation
is 'Mussoorie'.Mussoorie
How to go-
One of the
main reasons for Mussoorie's popularity is its proximity to the Indian capital,
Delhi, just 290 kilometers away. There is direct bus service between Delhi and
Mussoorie. Mussoorie went on a weekend tour to escape the scorching heat of
Delhi. Mussoorie is 35 km from Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Mussoorie
can be reached in an hour and a half by bus or taxi from Dehradun. Many people
come to Mussoorie from Haridwar (distance 6 km) or Hrishikesh (distance 6 km)
day by day, but if you do not spend the night at the hill station, you will not
find real happiness. Moreover, the view of Dun Valley from Mussoorie Mall
at night is amazing. If you want to go from West Bengal, you have to go by
train to Dehradun and then from there to Mussoorie. Once you reach Delhi by
train, you can take a bus or train from there to Mussoorie. However, it is
convenient to go by bus from Delhi, the bus takes less time than the train. The
nearest airport to Mussoorie is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun.
Where to
stay
Lots of
hotels in Mussoorie. There are also many small and large guesthouses and
holiday homes of various organizations. Peak Tourist Season May-June in
Mussoorie. Like other hill stations, hotel rents go up and down according to
the seasons, and budget hotels also bargain. The higher the rent of the hotels
in the mall, the lower the rent. Cars don't run in Mussoorie's mall, porters
rely on luggage books.
What to see
The whole city of Mussoorie is as beautiful as the picture. You can spend hours sitting
in Mussoorie's mall. Gun Hilltop is the second highest part of Mussoorie.
There is a ropeway from the mall to the top of Gunhill, you can also get up on
foot. Cannons were fired from here during the English period, hence the name.
One Himalayan mountain range after another like the waves of the sea visible
from the top of Gunhill.Mussoorie
The road
around Gunhill Top is called Mall on one side and the road on the other side is
called Camel Back Road. Cooley Market at one end of Camel Back Road and Library
Market at the other end. Walking on this road covered with pine and cedar is a
unique experience.
The highest
part of Mussoorie is Lal Tibba, about five kilometers from Mussoorie bus stand.
You have to go on foot or on horseback. The view of the snow-capped peaks of The Himalayas from Laltibba is amazing.
There are
several waterfalls near Mussoorie, one of which you must see is Kempty Falls.
Kempty Falls is about 15 km from Mussoorie on the way to Yamunotri. You can go
by bus or car from Mussoorie. Hundreds of stairs have to be broken to reach.
You can take a bath in the ice-cold water of the camp. Bathing clothes are also
available at the camp. You can also see Bhatta Falls, (about 6 km from
Mussoorie on Dehradun Road, a place called Balta, from where you can walk or drive
another 3 km from there, Bhatta Falls) and Jharipani Falls, (about Mussoorie.
If you go by bus or car for 5 km, scrub water. If you walk another 1.5 km from
there, scrub waterfalls).

many more things within five-six kilometers of Mussoorie. For example, if you
walk along the Municipal Garden Waverly Convent Road, it is only 2 km, and if
you drive the Nag Devta Temple, it is only 6 km. You can see Lal Bahadur
Shastri National Academy of Administration, the largest administrative training
center in India, just two kilometers from Gandhichak in Mussoorie. You can also

on Tehri Road) ., 10,000 feet, trekking about two kilometers), or Dhanolti

Tibetan
handicrafts and carpentry are used to decorate the house. I saw a single
Bengali Rasgolla shop in the library market. You can try it.

The minimum temperature in Mussoorie drops to -7 degrees Celsius in winter and hovering between 4-15 degrees in summer. So you must have enough winter clothes in winter and light winter clothes in summer. And if you take a cheap hotel, you must see if the geyser works.
